Soaring Heights Schools provide behavior support on an individual basis and systematically across all classrooms. Classroom-based support is designed to reduce challenging behaviors and promote successful interactions that allow students to thrive academically and socially.

School staff are trained and supported by both a licensed psychologist and a board-certified behavior analyst in the implementation of evidenced-based applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques.  Teachers utilize instructional design and intervention strategies which focus on reinforcement of adaptive behaviors. Students receive support in many areas of functioning including effective communication, social interactions, self-care, and classroom performance. Staff focus on proactive strategies to reduce challenging behaviors and teach effective replacement behaviors.

Individualized services include functional behavior assessments and positive behavior support plans. These services are provided to students who need more individualized or higher level support. All behavior supports and interventions are provided using a least restrictive and strength-based model.
