Officer Alex Vazquez of the Logan Township Police Department and K-9 Unit recently visited the students and staff at Soaring Heights School in Altoona, PA. During his visit, Officer Vazquez spoke to the students with his K-9 assistant Freddy sitting right by his side. Students received gift bags, a tour of the police vehicle, and an invite to visit and tour the police department. Students enjoyed visiting with Office Vazquez and Freddy, and learned that the Logan Township Police Department and K-9 Unit are friendly, approachable and helpful community resources for them and so many others. A field trip to the police department during summer school is already being planned for this year!
