Officer Alex Vazquez of the Logan Township Police Department and K-9 Unit recently visited the students and staff at Soaring Heights School in Altoona. During his visit, Officer Vazquez spoke to the students with K-9 Freddy sitting by his side. Students received gift bags, a tour of the police vehicle and an invite to visit the police department. Students enjoyed visiting with Office Vazquez and learned that the Logan Township Police Department and K-9 Unit are friendly, approachable and helpful. A field trip to the police department during summer school is already being planned!
