On Wednesday, February 6, 2019, students visited the planetarium at the Penn State University Park campus in State College, PA. The planetarium is run by the Penn State Astronomy and Astrophysics Department and offers students the opportunity to participate in a guided tour of their laboratory and take part in a 3D tour of both Mars and the Milky Way. The presentation concluded with a “Phases of the Moon” interactive movie, which the students loved. Soaring Heights School and our students are very grateful for the exciting and enriching field trip opportunity from the Penn State Astronomy and Astrophysics Department!
