In January of 2019, students at Soaring Heights Schools Altoona campus had the opportunity to learn about many different types of fossils. They participated in several projects, from learning to take data as they watched their orange peels dry separately instead of buried in the dirt to preserve them, to making their own molds and tracing fossils using chicken bones from their lunch, seashells, orange peels and their own fingerprints. Students enjoyed the projects and are set to become future paleontologists after this wonderful, enriching learning experience! Soaring Heights Schools will continue to cultivate the sense of wonder and scientific critical thinking with students to help them reach their educational goals.
