Students from Soaring Heights School in State College collected and sent gifts to active servicemen and women to show their support.
Students donated items to be sent to Captain Timothy Tangen, Chaplain, US Air Force. He is formerly the pastor at Northwood Baptist Church in Tyrone, PA. Items like Pringles chips, beef jerky, microwave popcorn, hard candy, playing cards, and Christmas cards made by the students were included in the care package.
The items were collected on November 18 to ensure that they will arrive overseas prior to Christmas.
